Post-Election Tax Update

Join us for an insightful session where our professional speakers will provide an overview of current tax legislation, insight into future policy changes, and discuss recent court cases.

 

Presented By:

Jessica M. Kinnard, CPA, Tax Director, ForvisMazars, has more than eleven years of experience providing tax and accounting services to a broad range of clients. She was the Kansas City Private Client market industry leader before recently joining the Denver practice unit. Jessica provides sophisticated income, gift and estate tax compliance, consulting and planning services to individuals, families, fiduciaries, and more. As part of the Private Client team, Jessica uses a forward-looking approach to help Forvis Mazars clients grow and preserve assets, defer income, and reduce taxes.

She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Missouri Society of CPAs, Mid-America Charitable Gift Planners, and Kansas City Estate Planning Society. A board member of the Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium serving on the Finance and Student Engagement committees. She has previously served as the Fundamentals & Intermediate Committee Chair for the Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium and Director for the Estate Planning Society of Kansas City. Jessica volunteers regularly at Mother’s Refuge.

Jessica is a 2011 magna cum laude graduate of University of Missouri, Kansas City, with a B.S. degree in accounting and 2012 graduate with an M.S.A. degree with taxation emphasis.

 

Alexis L. Hulsebos, CPA,  began her career in 2018 with Forvis Mazars (formerly BKD) after completing two additional taxation internships while finishing school. As a manager on the tax team, Alexis provides tax preparation services, tax review services, and planning to a variety of clients and industries. Alexis is part of the Private Client team where she specializes in the planning and preparation of individual, estate, trust, and gift tax returns as well as their related entities.

Alexis graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with both her undergraduate, and graduate degrees. She has a B.S. degree in Accounting as well as a Master of Professional Accountancy degree with an emphasis in taxation. She graduated with academic honors in both programs and was an active member of the Accounting Students Organization. She is an ongoing member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Colorado Society of CPA’s.
